VSTMA Membership

Our Turf Managers maintain sports fields for all levels of competition and a wide variety of sports. Still they all come together for one purpose - to promote safer playing surfaces for all levels of play.
Please join the VSTMA. For as little as $45 per year you can learn, share, and support the nearly 200 members in Virginia.

Membership dues are paid annually, and follow the calendar year (Jan 1 to Dec 31). Applications received after August 31 covers membership for the following year as well.

TYPES OF MEMBERSHIPS

Membership Classification: There shall be two (2) classifications of members: voting and non-voting. All other rights, interests and privileges shall be equal.

Voting Members:

Category 1,Â Sports Field Professional: Persons engaged in the management and/or maintenance of sports fields, upon payment of dues and being accepted for membership, may become an active voting member in VSTMA and are eligible to hold elective office.

Category 2, Commercial: Persons engaged in a commercial enterprise providing services or products to the sports field industry, upon payment of dues and being accepted for membership, may become an active voting member in VSTMA and are eligible to hold elective office only as a Director, Secretary or Treasurer.

Non-Voting Members:

Category A, Associate: Any individual not directly involved in sports turf management who supports the objectives of VSTMA.

Category B, Student: Any full time student, upon payment of dues, verification of enrollment and being accepted for membership, may become a non-voting member of VSTMA.
